1 More Cosponsor for UAFA in the House! 123 in Total!

We have a new UAFA co-sponsor!

Rep. Kathy Castor just signed on as the 123rd sponsor of Uniting American Families Act! We have been contacting Congresswoman Castor for some time, urging her to co-sponsor UAFA (she was a previous co-sponsor) and she finally made the decision to sign on yesterday!

PLEASE CALL AND THANK CONGRESSWOMAN CASTOR
- this is very important!

Folks, this is further evidence that working on City Resolutions and participating in the weekly letter writing campaign works. Rep. Castor was one of the 5 representatives that we wrote to a month ago and Miami, FL (though not in her district) just passed a resolution in support of UAFA.

We need more of you to participate in the weekly letter writing campaign - we need you each to work to get more people to sign the petitions on change.org, so that we can get more than the 190 signatures we get each week. Our goal is 500 signatures. Let's make this happen.

We also need more people talking to their local city council members or supervisors to see if there is any chance of getting a city resolution passed in their city in support of UAFA and ensure that LGBT families are included in Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Please email Tom Tierney if you are interested and he will be able to provide you with more information and help you through the process.

As always, thanks goes to Tom for his work on this and the various people involved in getting resolutions passed in different cities across the nation. And - for those of you who sign and email letters every week, here is another example of how your diligence has paid off! Let's keep at it.
