More good news for this week. The Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) has gained two more co-sponsors, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Rep. Martin Heinrich (D-NM-1) - bringing the Senate total to 24 co-sponsors and the House total to 129. This is more co-sponsors than this legislation had in the last session of Congress, and is yet again a testament to the hard work of Out4Immigration members and other groups and individuals working to end immigration inequality. Both Sen. Harkin and Rep. Heinrich were targeted in the O4I letter writing campaign.
As always, please take a minute to contact Sen. Harkin and Rep. Heinrich and thank them for their support. These follow-up calls and letters let our co-sponsors know how much we appreciate their support and will help them in their discussions with colleagues about getting behind UAFA, too.
