Call Congress - Today and Every Day

What if you took the time to make one phone call a day to urge a Representative or Senator to support the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) and the inclusion of its language in Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR)?

You could do this in the morning before you left for work, on your lunch break or after work -- depending on which time zone you were in. If you get through right away, the call would take no more than 5 minutes. You might have to keep trying, but isn't it worth it?

The only way same-sex binational couples are going to get equal immigration rights is if we make these calls ourselves (and ask our friends, families and supporters to help us). So, get started. Here's some phone numbers for key members of Congress who will be instrumental in immigration reform. And they need to hear from us!

What do you say when someone answers the phone?
Say that you are calling to urge the Representative or Senator to make sure that the Uniting American Families Act (H.R. 1024; S.424), is included in any Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill, and this affects you and your family personally.

Tell them that we need truly Comprehensive Immigration Reform to pass to stop families like yours from being torn apart.
That's it. We've included addresses and fax numbers here for you to send a personal letter. Tell your story. And don't be afraid to fax it as well as snail mail it. Fax'ing is still a very effective way to reach members of Congress.
