SFILEN is organizing an Immigration Town Hall on Dec 18th and have invited Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep Luis Gutierrez to be present at the event.... for more information about the event - click on the link.
Out4Immigration is a sponsor of the event and we have been invited to have someone in a same-sex binational relationship who is affected by discriminatory immigration laws to tell their story at the event. We will also be there to urge the passage of the Uniting American Families Act as well as making sure that LGBT families are included in any Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
If you live in the Bay Area, I hope you will be able to show up for the event to show support for the passage of UAFA/RFA/Inclusive CIR. Since Pelosi and Gutierrez is invited, there is a chance that they might show up or send a representative to the event.... they will need to hear from you about what you are going through - to put a human face to this issue that is tearing our families apart and making us choose between Love or Country.
